Krampus Film Festival

Krampus Film Festival logo featuring ornate lettering and decorative laurels, symbolizing the celebration of folklore and storytelling in film.Krampus Asbury Park is a festival about the stories that tie us all together.  These stories bind our experiences in spite of our differences.  Storytelling is part of our nature and film is a particularly impactful way of storytelling.  Fun, scary, lively, dark, affirming, terrifying and above all else creative, our films have always inspired a full spectrum of emotions…they have also inspired new filmmakers.
We encourage all levels of filmmakers from iPhone first-timers to full production company pros.  The only thing we ask is that your film features the yuletide and the lore of it.
Krampus Film Festival is a small grassroots film festival in its ninth year. It is part of the Krampus Asbury Festival – a storytelling festival that encourages the sharing of folklore, the creation of community, and the joy of shared experience through many different mediums.
Our Festival is unique and niche. We push the boundaries of a small part of folklore to show how storytelling is an innate part of human nature. And we howl at the moon while we do it. In addition to telling the story of Krampus, an agent of retribution for the Yule Tide, we also explore the darker nature of our social customs. This film festival is not only exciting and fun, but it is necessary. Krampus and the other Monsters of Yuletide are the authenticities that many feel the world is lacking.
Yule Cat, Gryla, Krampus, La Befana..and so many more remind us that the world was not always so glib. There are repercussions for our actions. Santa is not the only one who keeps a list.
Making films is not the only way to participate!  You can get your tickets to our festival right here.

Congratulations! Official selections for Krampus Film Festival featuring a festive red background with green accents, listing film titles such as "The House of Weird," "Housebroken," and "Krampuss," celebrating folklore and storytelling in cinema.
